Linda: My doctor and I have known each other a long time. A few years ago, he asked me to fill out a form called an advance directive. The form asked if I would want to be on a breathing machine or have CPR if ever I needed it. At the time I did, so I signed the form saying I wanted all of that stuff. Well, before my sister died last year, she was put on a breathing machine. It just left her too weak to enjoy life or talk to us.
